About Eswary SriramEswary Sriram is a dedicated Bharatanatyam dancer, choreographer, and teacher with over two decades of experience in the classical arts. Her journey began at the age of five in Malaysia under the guidance of Guru Indira Manickam, and by ten, she had performed her Salangai Poojai, marking an early milestone in her artistic path.
Her pursuit of excellence led her to India, where she trained in the Gurukulam tradition under the legendary Adyar K Lakshman, completing her Arangetram and further performances in Chennai. She continued her advanced training under Padmashri Adyar K Lakshman , refining her technique, expression and depth in the art form.
In addition to performances, Eswary trained in Nattuvangam under Mridangam Vidwan Shri RamShankar Babu, strengthening her command over rhythm and choreography.
Founder – Tatya Performing ArtsIn 2013, Eswary founded Tatya Performing Arts with a vision to preserve and promote traditional Bharatanatyam. After several successful years in Missouri, the school is now based in McKinney, Texas, where it continues to nurture students with a strong foundation in both practice and theory.
Her students have performed across the United States, with many completing their Arangetrams and earning accolades, including the Natya Idol award at a national competition in St. Louis.
Teaching PhilosophyEswary believes in a holistic approach to Bharatanatyam—balancing technique, expression (abhinaya), and rhythmic precision. At Tatya Performing Arts, students receive training in both dance and Nattuvangam, enabling a deeper understanding of the art form.
Her annual showcases celebrate each student’s individuality while maintaining the integrity of tradition.
